MIXED ENSEMBLE
MIXED ENSEMBLE IN MAASTRICHT
There is almost nothing more fun than making music together. With different instruments you bring life to the music. If you already play your own instrument well, maybe it’s time to play together. In a mixed ensemble you play together with all kinds of other musicians. That is not only educational and fun.
At Kuma there are two mixed ensembles. One of these consists of harps and viola da gambas and in the other all kinds of instrument combinations can be played in consultation. The repertoire ranges from light classical to Irish folk music. Participation in a mixed ensemble is possible in consultation with your teacher. The ensemble rehearses every two weeks on Wednesday evenings in a mixed line-up.
This course is taught by:
Henry Konsten
Henry Konsten studied composition and piano at the conservatory in Maastricht. He then took the saxophone state exam. He teaches piano and saxophone. If you would like to compose music yourself or make an arrangement of, for example, a well-known song, you can also learn that from Henry.
The musical experience of his students is central to Henry. That’s why he aligns with their musical preferences. As an accompanist of ensembles, he finds it important that people can enjoy making music together. For more information: www.konsten.nl
