SINGING (POP/ROCK/JAZZ)
SINGING LESSONS IN MAASTRICHT
You love to sing, you love pop, soul, rock and/or jazz music and you can’t wait to improve your singing skills. Then you’ve come to the right place at Kuma. With a healthy voice, an ear for music and a good portion of motivation you can go a long way.
During the individual or duo lessons you will work on your breathing, articulation, placement, microphone technique and your own musical identity. Once or twice a year there is a public reading evening in which you can participate (not mandatory of course). At Kuma you also have the opportunity to sing in a band.

Since my conservatory study singing (pop/jazz) I enjoy giving singing lessons and it has long been clear to me that everyone can learn to sing, everyone at their own pace and level. For real! Whether you sing alone in the shower, in a choir, band or just curious about the possibilities of your voice, you are welcome. It doesn’t matter if you’re just starting out or advanced.
I teach all genres and styles such as pop, rock, jazz, blues and soul. Basically anything but classical vocals. I can also help you if your voice is bothering you because, for example, you have to talk a lot, stand in front of the class or regularly speak in front of groups. Discover your own voice and the connection with your body! Do you like to sing or would you like to learn to sing and you don’t know where to start, then this lesson is for you.
In my lessons we work on the basic techniques of singing and the associated connection with your body. Together we will look for your own voice based on a chosen song and fun exercises. Fun is of course paramount!
Do you feel a bit insecure or would you like to feel more comfortable speaking or singing in front of a group? We can also work on this together.
The styles I offer are jazz, pop, rock and musical in the broadest sense of the word.
I graduated from the Conservatory of Maastricht with a master’s degree in Jazz singing with a specialization in Arabic music. To this day I like to continue to delve into new styles and techniques both as a teacher and a singer.
In addition to coaching my students, I still stand on stage with a lot of passion and pleasure and I like to tell my story with my own music.Â
