PIANO (POP/ROCK/JAZZ)
PIANO LESSONS (POP/ROCK/JAZZ) IN MAASTRICHT
In this course you will work on the correct posture, reading notes, clapping rhythms, recognizing intervals, knowledge of chords, playing scales and improvising. During the individual or group lessons you learn to play in the accompanying atmosphere, but also solo. You learn more and more through play, at your own pace. Are you classically trained, but do you want to explore the pop/rock/jazz genre, sign up for this course!
This course is offered on both acoustic and electric piano. Compared to the classic, the electric piano offers all kinds of extra possibilities. You can rent, hire-purchase and buy the electric piano. Ask your teacher for advice.
This course is taught by:
Frans van Libergen
Musical centipede Frans van Libergen. He grew up in his father’s music store in Heer, where he was taught the love for music at a young age. After graduating from secondary school, Frans started working in the business and studied piano, light music, choral conducting and music informatics at the Maastricht Conservatory.
During his training, Frans worked on a professional career as a musician: and not without results! He founded his own quartet, conducted several choirs and was pianist and vocalist with a number of well-known bands. He toured the United States twice with Swing Design, gave international concerts with the Jack Million Band and was keyboardist with various bands.
As an instrumentalist, Frans can still be found on many stages. He has collaborated with well-known artists such as Vera Lynn, Bonny M, The Four Tops, Jerry van Rooyen, Andre van Duin and Beppie Kraft.
However, all these activities do not stop him from producing/arranging CDs and working as a studio musician.
